The process

Five steps from your current system to Alkademy Press

01

Audit your current data

We start with a data inventory: submission records, reviewer database, author accounts, uploaded files, metadata, and any DOIs already registered. You tell us what matters most.

02

Export from your current system

For OJS, we use the native XML export. For spreadsheet-based workflows, we provide a structured import template. You supply the data; we handle the mapping.

03

We import and map the data

Our team runs the import against a staging environment. Submission records, reviewer roles, member accounts, and metadata are mapped to the Alkademy Press schema. You review a sample before anything goes live.

04

You verify and approve

We give you access to the staging environment. Walk through your submission history, check reviewer records, verify the public journal site. Sign off when you're satisfied.

05

Go live — no downtime

The production environment is switched on. DNS is updated if you have a custom domain. Your old system can stay up in read-only mode for the transition period.
